Sterocaulon sp. Sterocaulon
– is a genus of small, abundantly branched fruticose lichens. This
lichen, growing on soil or rock somewhat resembles a very tiny head of
cauliflower. A boreal genus represented by two species in Ohio. Both
are very old records from northeasterm Ohio.
